partnership matters.

One of the most important resources we have is our partners. United Way brings people together from government, business, organized labor, faith groups, nonprofits and ordinary citizens. Together we tackle the issues that matter most. If it requires fundraising, going to Sacramento, or just getting people to work together, that’s what we do.

$2,964,875 Strategic Investments in Local Programs and Services
We are pleased to announce that United Way Silicon Valley’s Board of Directors approved nearly $3 million to be invested in 60 programs in our community at the June 28, 2007 Board meeting. The programs, selected through a competitive process, primarily focus on building adult living skills, developing children and youth, and supporting basic needs for people in crisis. This concludes a four+ year transformation process from a traditional fundraiser to a community impact United Way focusing on finding solutions to critical local health and human service issues.
